Showcasing audio products – with a finish as professional as your sound
As the industry leader in high-performance ceramic coatings for automotive, electronics, sport and fitness, and aerospace, it's not uncommon for Cerakote to take on projects that come with their own unique challenges.
In other words, we protect and enhance the things that matter most to you.
And the music industry is no exception.
That's why our focus is on developing an easy-to-apply ceramic coating that keeps your microphone and other equipment exactly where it belongs: front and center, without a single scratch. Unlike many other coating materials, Cerakote is the only ceramic coating that can guarantee thousands of hours of operation without requiring multiple time-consuming and expensive application steps.
Performance properties of Cerakote coatings
Cerakote's ceramic coatings offer a range of superior properties for various applications in the field of Music & Audio.
Abrasion and Scratch Resistant
Cerakote coatings are extremely resistant to mechanical wear, such as impacts and scratches. So the tour can begin.
Color selection and durability
With over 100 different colours, there are no limits to creativity. And the best part: even after the wildest performances, the colour remains as it should be.
Corrosion Resistance
Cerakote coatings effectively protect microphone surfaces or other equipment from rust and corrosion.
Chemical resistance
Cerakote coatings are resistant even to aggressive cleaning agents and solvents.
Liability
Cerakote ceramic coatings adhere to almost all surfaces, such as steel, aluminum, titanium, carbon fiber, polymers, and other surfaces.
Thin-film ceramic coating
With a layer thickness of only 6-50 µm, Cerakote coatings are ideal for parts with very low tolerances, such as threads.
Applications in the Music & Audio Sector
Cerakote ceramic coatings can be used for various solutions, including:
Ultralight Coating
The thin-layer application of Cerakote enables a significant weight reduction compared to other paints and powder coatings.
Thin-Film Technology
Cerakote has a low film thickness of only 6-50 µm. This makes the coating ideal for all bicycle parts where low weight and tight tolerances are important.
Liability
Cerakote can be applied to any non-rubberized surface and can thus essentially be applied to almost all materials.
Unique
Cerakote offers limitless color options for all parts of the bow. By combining different colors or laser-engraving patterns, there are no limits to creativity.

Diversity that sets the tone
Whether it's matte "Graphite Black" for discreet stage use or eye-catching "Zombie Green" as a statement – Cerakote offers hundreds of color options. Thanks to its UV stability, the finish remains brilliantly vibrant and does not fade. From single-color classics to complex metallic effects or camouflage patterns, any design vision can be realized without compromising acoustic performance.
Perfect Fit
Cerakote is an ultra-thin ceramic coating designed for applications with the tightest tolerances. With a coating thickness of only 6 to 50 µm, the finest details, threads, and engravings are perfectly preserved. This feature guarantees maximum protection without compromising the fit or function of precise audio components.
Durability
Musicians and sound engineers know: excellent sound is only half the battle. The equipment must withstand the rigors of touring while looking flawless. Cerakote offers exactly that – an extremely durable ceramic coating that protects your microphones, amplifiers, and audio hardware from scratches, corrosion, and wear.
Why Cerakote is redefining the industry standard
In the audio and electronics industries, processes such as anodizing, PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), or classic painting traditionally dominate. However, a direct comparison quickly reveals why leading manufacturers are increasingly switching to Cerakote.
While anodizing is chemically aggressive and can promote material fatigue in aluminum, Cerakote forms a protective layer that does not attack the substrate. In addition, anodizing processes are often limited to a few colors and suffer from color variations between different batches ("Batch-to-Batch Consistency"). Cerakote, on the other hand, guarantees color consistency with a Delta-E value of less than 1 – a decisive advantage for brands that require visual perfection across thousands of units.
Compared to PVD coatings, Cerakote scores not only with significantly lower costs but also with superior corrosion resistance. Tests show that Cerakote offers up to 330 times higher corrosion protection than conventional PVD.
Even compared to powder coatings, which often apply thickly and can clog fine details such as engravings or threads, Cerakote remains unbeatably precise as a thin film (6-50 µm). It thus combines the best of two worlds: the extreme protection of an industrial ceramic with the aesthetic finesse demanded by high-end audio equipment – without the environmental impact or safety risks of outdated processes.
