Superior Abrasion and Wear Resistance: Cerakote reduces wear on moving parts and improves longevity. Its chemical resistance also protects against fuels, hydraulic fluids, and other harsh chemicals.

  • It is recommended that the epoxy seal in the current coating system be replaced with Cerakote to prevent delamination and burning in the inner skin of the engine cowling during aircraft hover. In addition, the recommended Cerakote C-7700 Glacier Silver can be used to paint current engine fairings to improve their heat resistance. Cerakote has long been used in the automotive industry. Here, exhaust systems are thermally insulated, thus reducing engine compartment temperatures. The results of this study are consistently positive and show that its applicability in aircraft is possible.
